An example of an integrated business.

The scenario: You are operating an online retail business.

  1. Your website makes a sale.
  2. The funds are automatically processed by your gateway and deposited into your bank.
  3. The sale is recorded in your accounting system and an invoice is issued to the customer.
  4. The customer’s details are added to a segmented list in your email marketing database (based on what they bought).
  5. The sales order is sent to your ERP for picking, packing and inventory control.
  6. When ready, this also triggers an order with your shipping company and a tracking code is sent to the customer along with automated follow up emails to ensure they are completely comfortable with the process and delivery times.
  7. Once delivered, the marketing system triggers a feedback survey. This feedback can be used for marketing if its good and learning if it’s not.

Initially, we need to gain a clear understanding of your challenges, workflow and business processes. We’ll do this through a series of discovery meetings and interviews with key stakeholders.
