We have been working with Muscular Dystrophy Queensland for over 15 years. The website was long overdue for redevelopment, so we wanted to make sure that whatever we built suited the organisation and its community now and well into the future.
Technology and user experience has come a long way in that time. The site also had to integrate with Vega Works fundraising CRM.
The only way to truly know who your users are is to talk to them, so we conducted a series of interviews with a variety of clients, carers, parents, fundraisers and donors. Each audience had vastly different requirements for the site, but all were clear that it had to be a community. This process helped us map user journeys and clarify each audience’s goals and motivations.
Aside from designing clear user experience journeys for each audience, MDQLD also very strict requirements for accessibility – WCAG AA
The result was a modern website that is now the central hub of their community. It is integrated with Vega Works for donations is a powerful marketing platform for fundraising, events and general awareness.
